Capitol Hill, Oklahoma City
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Capital Hill Historic District is an ethnic enclave in Oklahoma City, due south of downtown. Capital Hill is considered the heart of the Hispanic community in a city that has the highest percentage and true numbers of Hispanic/Latino residents in the state.
Capital Hill has a considerable hispanic downtown and is locally known for the best place in OKC for authentic Mexican cuisine and shopping. There are also a number of organizations and churches in Capital Hill that reach out to the local community.
-- Note --
It should be noted, Capital Hill is a historic ethnic neighborhood and should not be confused with the Capitol campus centred at N. Lincoln Blvd and E. 23rd Street, which is where the state capitol of Oklahoma and other state agencies reside.
