Carlos Vicente Tenorio Medina (born May 14, 1979) is an Ecuadorian footballer who plays for Al-Sadd in Qatar. Tenorio is an experienced striker known for his heading ability.

However, he has failed to quite live up to his promise when playing for the Ecuador national team. Despite this he has been in the squad at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups. At Al Saad he has had more success, being the second highest goalscorer behind Gabriel Batistuta in 2004, winning the league title. He scored 10 goals in a Shaik Jassem Cup game against Maidev, a team of the league's second division, in which Al Saad won 21-0 on August 26, 2006.

He scored his country's first goal in the 2006 FIFA World Cup with a header against Poland. On June 15, 2006 Tenorio scored his second goal of the World Cup with the opener in Ecuador's 3-0 victory over Costa Rica.

His tremendous speed has caused headaches for the defenders the world over. Carlos has the ability to ghost in areas rather quickly and this catches his adversaries off guard. He is also a very brave player who likes to challenge defenders with his pace and dribbling skills, and is a notable finisher with either foot and head.

Although once considered a disappointment for the national team, Carlos has repaid the faith Luis Fernando Suárez put in him, as he was not only one of Ecuador's outstanding players in the Fifa World Cup, but was one of the tournament's most eye-catching performers with his powerful and breathtaking displays.

Now reaching his peak years, he will be called upon once again to fill the void left behind by the now retired legend, Agustin Delgado, upfront.
