Carlos de los Cobos Martinez (born 10 December 1958 in Tamaulipas) is a Mexican football coach and former player. As a player de los Cobos represented his country at the 1986 Football World Cup held in Mexico. The skilled defender was an integral part of the team's quarter-final run. As a coach, he's been the man in charge at Club América, Querétaro FC, Celaya, and Irapuato. He served as an assistant coach to Manuel Lapuente and the Mexican squad at the 1998 Football World Cup as well as the 1996 Olympic Games. Recently, he has been appointed coach of the El Salvador national football team up until 2010.
