South West View of Carndonagh

Carndonagh (Carn Domhnach in Irish) is a town in the Inishowen peninsula in County Donegal, Republic of Ireland. It is located near Malin Head on the Inishowen peninsula in the north of Ireland. It is the site of the Donagh Cross which belonged to an early Christian monastery that was founded by St. Patrick for Bishop Mac Cairthen, brother of the bishop of Clogher.

The town is also home to the largest secondary school in all of Ireland, Carndonagh Community School.
