Carolyn Dennis (born 1954), sometimes professionally known as Carol Dennis or Carol Dennis-Dylan is an American singer and actor, best known for her work with, and marriage to Bob Dylan.

Dennis' mother is the singer Madelyn Quebec (a former member of The Raelettes). Dennis was a backup singer for Dylan from soon after they met in 1978 until 1987. During the last two years of her spell in Dylan's touring band, her mother, Quebec, was also a member of the vocal quartet which was known during that period as The Queens Of Rhythm.

She has also sung back-up for Wonderlove, The Carpenters, Kenny Loggins, and Bruce Springsteen.[1][2] She was the singing voice for the 1991 made for television movie The Josephine Baker Story starring Lynn Whitfield as Josephine Baker.

Dennis and Dylan had a child, Desiree Gabrielle Dennis-Dylan, born on January 31, 1986. They then married in June 1986; Dennis becoming Dylan's second wife. The couple divorced in October 1992.[3][4] Their marriage and parenthood was completely unknown to both Dylan's fans and the media until 2001 after the publication of Down the Highway: The Life Of Bob Dylan by Howard Sounes. Dennis is quoted as saying, "I have three children, but I'm not going to say which ones are Bob Dylan's." Dennis, according to her spokesman, had made a pact with her children not to publicize their paternity. "Bob Dylan has eight or nine children," Dennis says. "We're not trading on that."[5]
