Carsten Ramelow (born March 20, 1974 in Berlin) is a German international football player who has played for German Bundesliga power Bayer Leverkusen since 1995.
In 1998 Ramelow first appeared for the German national team, and went on to win 46 caps. He was on his country's roster at Euro 2000, and then played at the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He retired from the national team just before Euro 2004.He was involved in a famous incident with AS Roma's Francesco Totti at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, while playing a Champions league game. Totti jumped on a sliding Ramelow landing on his shoulder and back.
