Cartoon Network Studios, the successor to Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, Inc., is an American animated cartoon production company following in the footsteps of Hanna-Barbera, creators of animated television and motion picture releases for over forty years. A subsidiary of the Turner Broadcasting System arm of the Time Warner media conglomerate, Cartoon Network Studios focuses on producing and developing animated programs for and related to the Cartoon Network and Kids' WB!.

The studio began in 1994 as a subsidiary of Hanna-Barbera Cartoons which was dedicated to producing original programming for the Cartoon Network, including latter-day Hanna-Barbera creations such as Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. After H-B co-founder William Hanna died in 2001, the Hanna-Barbera name was retired (as a production entity), and the H-B studio was folded into Warner Bros. Animation. Meanwhile, Cartoon Network Studios was extracted from Hanna-Barbera and made its own entity. The studio has continued to thrive with new productions such as The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Samurai Jack.
