Kennedy Cartoons

Kennedy Cartoons was an animation studio from The Philippines that did work for the following animated series:
- Tiny Toon Adventures (1990-1991)
- Darkwing Duck (1991)
- Pirates of Darkwater (1991-1993)
- Goof Troop (1992)
- Raw Toonage (1992)
- Bonkers (1993-1994)
- Aladdin (1994)
- Fantastic Four (1994-1996)
- What-a-Cartoon! short: Tales of Worm Paranoia (1996)
It quickly gained notoriety around the Internet for its work on the first season of Tiny Toon Adventures. Warner Bros., as well as many fans on the internet, hated the way they animated their episodes. As such, they were dropped out of later seasons. Despite this, Disney subcontracted to them for many of their Disney Afternoon shows, and their more irritating trademarks (out-of-control bounciness, sloppy wild takes, random bursts into dances) were toned down. In addition, their character designs more closely matched the other studios, which was a problem on Tiny Toons.
The animation director for Kennedy Cartoons was almost always Glen Kennedy, who also was the animation director for A Pup Named Scooby Doo in the late '80s. In fact, many of Kennedy's animation quirks on the Tiny Toons episodes can be seen in A Pup Named Scooby Doo, despite it being animated by Wang Film Productions and Cuckoo's Nest. On a select few episodes of Tiny Toons such as "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny", the animation director was Namkook Lee.
Another interesting fact is that Kennedy Cartoons, in its Tiny Toons and Darkwing Duck days, outsourced some scenes of animation to StarToons, located in Chicago.
Dan Lee, another Kennedy Cartoons animator, went on to Pixar before his death in 2005.
