Castle Cary station serves the town of Castle Cary in Somerset, England.

The station is on the Heart of Wessex Line 77 km (47¾ miles) south of Bristol Temple Meads towards Weymouth. The station is also on the Great Western Main Line 186 km (115¼ miles) south west of London Paddington towards Exeter. The station is served and managed by First Great Western.

Immediately west of the station the Heart of Wessex Line diverges from the Great Western Main Line aka Berks and Hants Line.

During the Glastonbury Festival direct buses run from the station to the festival site near Pilton.

There is generally a two-hourly service daily to London Paddington eastbound to Exeter and beyond westbound on the Great Western Main Line.

Also, there is generally a two-hourly service, each day, towards Bristol Temple Meads northbound and Weymouth southbound on the Heart of Wessex Line.

Railway Centenary has information about the history of the GWR cut-off line from Castle Cary to Durston (near Taunton) which opened in 1906.
