From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Lutheranism refers to the Christian tradition inspired by Martin Luther's Evangelical movement, which sought to reform the practices of the Roman Catholic Church in the early 16th century. This movement also led to a larger split within the Roman Catholic Church known as the Protestant Reformation, and eventually to Protestantism today.
