Central Plaza 1

Central Plaza One is the third tallest skyscraper in the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The height of the tower is 174m (571ft) and contains 44 floors. [1] Construction on it was completed in 1988. It's located in Queen Street, in the central business district of Brisbane.

At the time of its completion it was the tallest building in Brisbane but since taller buildings have been completed. Currently the only two buildings in Brisbane that are taller than Central Plaza 1 are: Riparian Plaza - completed in 2005, and then Aurora Tower in 2006.[1]

Located next to Central Plaza One is a smaller version of the tower with a similar design, Central Plaza Two, which has a height of 110m. Central Plaza One has a unique window cleaning mechanism in which a section at the top of the building rotates, allowing for the suspension of outdoor window cleaners.
