Chambois is a commune of Orne, in France, and was part of the Falaise pocket.
Chambois was one of the major battles of WWII. It was also known as the Falaise Gap. With this the 90th Infantry Division had moved in on site after the Polish and Canadians took Hill 262 (The Mace). In which the 90th was sent to Chambois and was to try and hold the position against the retreating German Army there for liberating Paris and all of France.
