Charles H. Graves

Charles Hinman Graves (1839 – October 7, 1928) succeeded William W. Thomas, Jr as United States ambassador to Sweden from 1905 to 1913 and to Norway from 1905 to 1906, making him the first US ambassador to Norway after its independence in 1905. He also served as Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives during the twenty-fifth Minnesota Legislature.
