Charmouth is a village at the mouth of the River Char in West Dorset, England. The village has a population of 1,305 (2001).

The village is well-known for Jurassic fossils, of which there are many to be found. Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre acts as a visitor centre for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and identifies fossils found in the area.

Walkers and fossil-hunters walk the beaches between Lyme Regis and Charmouth but have to be wary of tides and landslips.

A nearby landmark is Golden Cap.
