Chernobyl2020

Chernobyl2020 is an exhibition which commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
The Chernobyl 20 Years 20 Lives exhibition presents the stories of 20 individuals who have each been touched by this disaster. It has exhibited in 2006 in Denmark, Australia, Switzerland, Ukraine, UK, USA and the Netherlands. It was developed by Danish photo-journalist Mads Eskesen.
The exhibition is prepared in multiple languages including in German, English, Danish, Dutch, Ukrainian and Russian.

In Australia the Chernobyl2020 Exhibition, Chernobyl 20 Years 20 Lives, was presented in 2006 in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT and Tasmania.
Melbourne, Australia: the Chernobyl2020 Exhibition was launched on 26th April 2006 at Parliament House.
Melbourne, Australia: Chernobyl2020 at International House, Royal Parade, Carlton.
Canberra, Australia: Chernobyl2020 was launched at the Ukrainian Catholic Centre, Lyneham on 26 April 2006, it exhibited at the Legislative Assembly, toured municipal libraries and was installed at the CSIRO Science Discovery Centre.
Perth, Western Australia: Chernobyl2020 was exhibited at St Mary's Cathedral and at Newman College.
In Victoria, Australia Chernobyl2020 will tour to Geelong, Newborough, Noble Park, Wodonga and St Albans.
In Sydney, Australia the exhibition visits Parliament House in November 2006.
In Tasmania, Australia the exhibition launches at Reece High School, Devonport on 27 Oct 2006.
The 20 individuals whose stories are related in this exhibition are from the Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, France, UK, Sweden and Latvia. Twenty people with 20 very different stories to tell. The exhibition is presented in 30 panels each 1m x 1m. Each exhibit presents photographs and text of an individual; there are 20 such panels. There are an additional 8 panels of maps, text & original Chernobyl photographs.
