Chiayi County (Traditional Chinese: 嘉義縣; Hanyu Pinyin: Jiāyì Xiàn; Tongyong Pinyin: Jiayì Siàn; Wade-Giles: Chia-yi Hsien; POJ: Ka-gī-kōan) is a county in southwestern Taiwan surrounding but not including Chiayi City. Its historical name in Chinese (諸羅山)，derives from the Taiwanese aboriginal word Tsirosen. Chiayi County is officially a county of Taiwan Province of the Republic of China.
