Chloe Webb

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chloe Webb (born in 1956 in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York) is an American actress.

Webb grew up in Syracuse, New York. She played Nancy Spungen in the 1986 cult movie, Sid and Nancy, which revolved around the life of the Sex Pistols bassist, Sid Vicious, and his girlfriend Nancy.

She also played the part of Mona Ramsey in the 1994 television adaptation of Armistead Maupin's novel Tales of the City. The role of Mona was recast for the subsequent sequel, More Tales of the City. According to the series' author Armistead Maupin, "Chloe Webb had expressed enthusiasm about playing Mona again, but she backed out when the show's producers declined her request to be paid more than the rest of the cast. (The show was operating under a 'favored nations agreement' that required leading cast members to be paid equally.) While everyone felt Chloe was important to Tales, she was not more important than Laura Linney, Thomas Gibson, Billy Campbell or Barbara Garrick." [1]

She may have been better-known to a larger American audience as a USO volunteer in the television series China Beach, and Danny DeVito's onscreen girlfriend in the 1988 movie Twins.
