Chris Miller (born 1942) is an American author and screenwriter, most notable for his work on National Lampoon magazine and Animal House (he also had a bit part as Curtis Wayne "Hardbar" Fuller and was credited as Christian Miller). In fact, his experiences in the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at Dartmouth College helped inspire much of the material of Animal House. Prior to writing the script to Animal House, he wrote several short stories about his college experiences ("Night of the Seven Fires") which were published in National Lampoon. He also wrote the screenplay for Multiplicity, starring Michael Keaton. He authored his memoir The Real Animal House: The Awesomely Depraved Saga of the Fraternity That Inspired the Movie (2006), about his experiences at Alpha Delta Phi that inspired Animal House. Miller is currently at work on a new memoir about the '60s.
