Christopher Paul Morgan (born November 9, 1977 in Barnsley) is an English football player who currently plays for Sheffield United in the Coca Cola Championship.

He started his football career in 1998 with his hometown of Barnsley and made a total of 212 appearances for The Reds in six seasons, including their only season in the F.A. Premier League, before signing for Sheffield United in July 2003.

Morgan is a combative no nonsense central defender who won the club's Player of the Year in his first season and is currently the club captain at Bramall Lane.

He was given a 3 match ban for violent conduct after striking Robin van Persie in the chest during Sheffield United's match against Arsenal.[1]

He is reported to have made controversial comments about his manager Bryan Robson, saying that he does not have a clue when it comes to saying that certain players are not good enough to play for the Blades, rising speculation that the camp is full of unrest.[citation needed]
