Cinderella's Golden Carrousel

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cinderella's Golden Carrousel is an authentic carrousel ride housed directly behind Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom of Walt Disney World. In true amusement park tradition, this 90-horse carrousel plays organ-based Disney classics while it makes its 2 minute revolutions.

The carrousel was originally built by The Philadelphia Toboggan Company, one of the most prestigious carrousel companies, in 1917. In 1967, Walt Disney purchased the handmade carrousel (and horses) from the Olympic Park in Maplewood, New Jersey.
