The City of Bayswater is a Local Government Area of Western Australia. It covers an area of approximately 33 km² in metropolitan Perth, the capital of Western Australia and lies about 10 km north-east of the Perth CBD. The City of Bayswater has a population of 54,000.

Bayswater Road Board was gazetted in 1897. On 1 July 1961, it became a Shire Council following changes to the Local Government Act. On 29 October 1983 it attained City status.[1]

The city has been divided into 4 wards. The mayor is elected from among the councillors.
