Coaltar of the Deepers (コールター・オブ・ザ・ディーパーズ) are an alternative shoegaze rock band from Japan. They formed in May 1991. While staying true to the alternative shoegaze sound, they have covered many musical elements throughout their career (such as death metal to techno) and have a very devoted fanbase.
