Comrade X is a 1940 spy movie, starring Clark Gable and Hedy Lamarr and directed by King Vidor. Co-stars include Alexander Asro.
It is a fabulous send up of the insanity of the Soviet Union. There are jokes of things getting stolen contantly, the Soviet factional infighting, paranoia and incompetence. Heddy's character Golubka (who changed her name to Theodore because only men can drive street cars) has to leave Soviet Russia because she is a communist and loves her country (which will get her killed as soon as the party bosses discover it).
