Kahn Souphanousinphone, Jr., better known as Connie, is a fictional character in the Fox animated series King of the Hill. She is voiced by Lauren Tom.

Connie is the daughter of Kahn and Minh Souphanousinphone. She was born in Anaheim where the family lived before moving to Texas. Her father, Kahn, wanted a son, and named his only daughter after himself. Because "Kahn Junior" (which her father invariably calls her) is awkward, however, she prefers being called by the diminutive "Connie."

Connie is very successful academically, can speak three languages (English, Laotian and an unidentified third language.) and can play the violin very well. She is Bobby Hill's girlfriend off-and-on in the series, which gives Kahn great fear that she will marry Bobby and give him "redneck" grandchildren.

Though Connie does seem to take a moderate amount of pride in her academic success, she is not immune to the every day adolescent need to be popular, as she was once drafted by Peggy Hill to be a cheerleader. She seemed to very much enjoy the attention and remarked, "what's the opposite of invisible? I've never had to know before."

  • Connie's full name is Constance as revealed in the Season 1 DVD commentary by Peggy Hill.
  • Connie is actually based on numerous Asian American stereotypes, for example, the belief that Asians are talented in many areas, for instance, being able to play the violin, being a straight-A student, and being pressured by her strict, traditional father, who obviously wanted to have a son.
  • Connie had her first menstrual period when she was staying at the Hills' home while her parents were on vacation. It is debatable who was more upset by the event: Connie, who was having her first period; or Hank, who was the only other person in the house when it happened. ("Aisle 8A")
  • Due to limited space in the yearbook one year, her name was shortened by the yearbook committee to "Connie Soup."
  • Connie has a very jealous streak as well. When Bobby falls for other girls, an example is how her cousin, Tid Pao managed to woo Bobby with her "coolness" and Bobby pays attention to her more. She sees that Bobby wishes to be popular like her, but he only seems to want to be popular if dating a popular, attractive, or really cool girl.
  • Connie has been in competiton with girls over Bobby such as Tid Pao, Marie, Stacey, etc. These are girls who attend or have attended Connie and Bobby's school, Tom Landry Middle School.
  • At the high school near their school, Connie is known as "Hamster girl" because Bobby told some boys that she was born with a tiny tail.
