Coogee, Western Australia

Coogee is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn. Its postcode is 6166. The suburb takes its name from the lake in the area.

Only 7 km south of Fremantle, Coogee overlooks Cockburn Sound, with views of Garden Island, Carnac Island and Rottnest Island.

Currently the Port Coogee development is underway, building a new marina and housing estate to compliment the existing suburb.

Parts of surrounding suburbs Spearwood and Hamilton Hill have surreptitiously turned into Coogee, in an attempt to garner the better image of Coogee and thus increaes property value.
