Coverdale-Page is an album by Jimmy Page and Whitesnake singer David Coverdale, released by Geffen Records on March 27, 1993. This studio album marked a return to commercial success for Jimmy Page since his days with Led Zeppelin, however subsequent sluggish tickets sales for a world tour after concerts in Japan, resulted in the partnership being shelved. Page then teamed up with Robert Plant for an "UnLedded" MTV project. A further six tracks recorded between Page and Coverdale remain unreleased.
It is believed that Page had collaborated with Coverdale in order to irk Robert Plant into collaborating with him, mainly due to Plant's belief that Coverdale has ripped off his vocal style. Adding to the Led Zeppelin sound of this album was the John Bonham -influenced work of former Montrose drummer Denny Carmassi. There were also rumors that Coverdale and Page would be joined by John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham in a reformed Led Zeppelin, but this did not pan out.[1]
The album reached #4 in the UK and #5 on the US Billboard 200 chart.
