DJ Drama (born Tyree Cinque Simmons on April 22, 1978 in Philadelphia to Caucasian American and African American parents.) Is the official DJ for Grand Hustle/Atlantic recording artist T.I., but he is most well-known for producing mixtapes, including the "Gangsta Grillz" series. He went to Central High School in Philadelphia and Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta.
DJ Drama recently signed with Grand Hustle Records, on which he released his debut album, Gangsta Grillz: The Album, on December 04, 2007. The album's first street single is "Takin Pictures" which features Young Jeezy, Willie The Kid, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Young Buck & T.I.[1] and the first official single is 5000 Ones, which features Nelly, T.I., Diddy, Yung Joc, Willie the Kid, Young Jeezy and Twista. A video was shot for this song and was premiered on BET.[2]
In 2005 Drama independently released 17 of his 20 southern-based mix tapes, featuring acts such as Saigon, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Webbie, Little Brother and Pimp Squad Click (P$C).
DJ Drama is a member of Aphilliates Music Group with DJ Don Cannon and DJ Sense. In 2006, Aphilliates Music Group inked a label deal with Asylum Records.

On January 16, 2007, DJ Drama and DJ Cannon were arrested on racketeering charges after a raid of the Atlanta offices of Aphilliates Music Group.[3] Authorities seized nearly 81,000 CDs and held both Drama and Cannon at Fulton County Jail on charges of racketeering. They were released the following day of $100,000 signature bonds. They are currently waiting to see if they will be indicted. [4]
