Dan Clute is the Iowa State Representative from the 59th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2007. He received his BBA and MBA from the University of Iowa, and is serving as Vice President of Public Affairs with Citigroup.
Clute currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Commerce committee; the Economic Growth committee; and the Local Government committee. He also serves on the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving on the Clive City Council.
Clute was elected in 2006 with 7,250 votes, defeating Democratic opponent Jim Sammler. [1]
