Dane Clark (February 26, 1912 - September 11, 1998) was an American film actor who appeared in movies including Gunman in the Streets (1950) and Moonrise (1948).

Born Bernard Zanville in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Cornell University and St. John's Law School (in Queens, New York). Clark was known for being an "average Joe" and worked alongside some of his era's biggest stars, including Bette Davis among many others. Clark also guest starred on a number of television shows, including The Twilight Zone.

Dane Clark's future as an actor began in Northport, Long Island, New York after a notable actor and manager Charles M. Fritz who ran The Little Red Theater there and beeing Edward G. Robinson's and Paul Muni's cousin, saw talent in what to that date was Bernard Zanville, a truck driver having problems getting a job. Mr. Fritz managed the theater, gave Dane a job and took him to live at his home.

He used his own furniture as props to mount plays in which Dane Clark, which Zanville had taken as his stage name, played.

Clark's career led to appear in numerous plays and movies and, in a very short time, would took him to stardom and to become one of the most renowned and famous actors and performers of his time.
