Darul 'Uloom Karachi

Darul 'Uloom Karachi is an Islamic seminary located in Karachi, Pakistan. It continues the tradition of the Darul Uloom system initiated by Darul Uloom Deoband. It is one of the leading educational institutions in Pakistan, and considered one of the top Islamic educational institutions in the world. It was started by the late Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Muhammad Shafi in 1951. Mufti Azam Pakistan Muhammad Shafi was previously associated with Darul Uloom Deoband, where he also served as the Grand Mufti, but moved to Pakistan following the partition. Currently, the President of Darul 'Uloom Karachi is Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani and the Vice President is Muhammad Taqi Usmani, who is renowned as one of the leading scholars alive. Both are the children of the founder, Muhammad Shafi.
