Dave Markey

Dave Markey (born December 3, 1963 in Burbank, California) is an American film director. He is best known for his 1992 documentary 1991: The Year Punk Broke. He is also well-known as a drummer in the early Los Angeles punk band Sin 34 and later with SST recording artists Painted Willie. Founding the fanzine and record label We Got Power, along with partner Jordan Schwartz, he made seminal contributions to the Los Angeles punk scene.
