David Hart (born February 6, 1954) is an American actor, known for playing Sgt. Parker Williams on the television series In the Heat of the Night. He also appeared In Several Commercials For The Denny's Restaurants.
His father Lloyd encouraged him to become an actor after seeing him in a high school play. He is married and has three children. He donates his time to various charitable organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is a member of the Christian faith.
