David Ruprecht (born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 14, 1948) is an American actor/writer best known for his work as host of the Lifetime/PAX game show, Supermarket Sweep. Ruprecht has previously been spotted in the audience of the The Price Is Right in order to study the emceeing routines of legendary TPIR host Bob Barker. As of March 2006, he is the host of the live version of the stage game as played in Atlantic City (Bally's hotel). Ruprecht also played Joyce DeWitt's fiancé, Phillip Dawson, a recurring character, in the final season of the popular ABC sitcom, Three's Company in 1984, and appeared in numerous cameo appearances in the popular courtroom drama Matlock. He currently plays Brandon Taylor on the award winning series Fifth Pew from the Front.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Downsize DC Foundation, and is a member of the Libertarian Party. Ruprecht is the Executive Director of the Libertarian Party of California.
