Dax O'Callaghan (born 2 July 1986 in London, England) is an English singer, dancer and actor.
Dax, like many other successful television stars in Britain, trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School.
His career began while he was still at school, appearing in various television commercials and featured on the educational television show "science in action". At the age of 10 he played the role of Gavroche in London's west end musical, Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre. He was later cast as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! at the London Palladium.
In England he is best known for presenting the LOL:Laugh Out Loud show, his small role as Jack Price in the BBC soap opera EastEnders and subsequent appearance in the medical drama Casulaty.
However he is more widely known in France as a singer and his single 'Calling Love' was hugely successful there.
At 18 he became the youngest ever person to teach a full-time dance class at the Pineapple Dance Studios in London's Covent Garden.
Following this, O'Callaghan was signed by Universal International Records in Hamburg to become a member of a new boyband named Lexington Bridge. Their album was released in Germany in March 2007.[1]
