In 1974, a film based on the novel was made, starring Charles Bronson and directed by Michael Winner.

  • In the Aaron Zelman novel The Mitzvah, the character, who is transitioning from a gun control advocate to someone who must learn to fend for himself, reads Death Wish and discusses it with a Jewish rabbi.
