Deepest Blue is an electronic music group, consisting of the Israeli born Matt Schwartz, and British native singer/songwriter Joel Edwards.
Schwartz and Edwards released their first single, "Let It Go", under the name 'Zoom' in 2002. A year later, and with a new name, they signed to the Ministry of Sound's Data Records label, and released their self-titled dance song, which became a huge hit in the clubs, as well as the UK singles chart.
In 2005, the group split up to work on solo projects. Their only album, Late September, went on to sell 70,000 copies in the UK and another 230,000 copies worldwide. Schwartz had success with his own label, Destined Records (www.destined-records.com). Edwards continued to remix under the name of 'Dead Guys' and has recorded a solo album, 'Lost And Found', due for release in 2007.
Deepest Blue have now reformed and have started working on a new album, a fact confirmed on Joel Edward's MySpace site.
Their song, 'Shooting Star', is used as the backing music for Sky Sports News.
