Democratic rally (French: Rassemblement démocrate, RD) is a monarchist political group established in 2004. It aims at converging all those who are attached to the conceptions of modern monarchy and remain fidel to the dynasty of Capetiens. RD tries to promote a new democracy. The movement is lead by souverainist Philippe Cartellier. The RD groups moderate left, centrists and Gaullist monarchists. Calling itself a democratic royalist current (royalist democracy), it has lined with National Movement of Simeon II of Bulgaria.
