    Desmond Lamont Relaford (born September 16, 1973 in Valdosta, Georgia) is an American professional baseball shortstop who is currently in the Texas Rangers organization. He has previously played for the Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Seattle Mariners, New York Mets, San Diego Padres, and the Philadelphia Phillies. He is reliable with the ability to play several positions on the baseball field.

    It was announced that Relaford signed a minor league deal with the Rangers on February 14, 2007. He will be competing with Jerry Hairston Jr., Drew Meyer and Joaquin Arias for a spot as utility infielder. [1]

    Desi Relaford pitched one inning for the New York Mets. He recorded a perfect inning with one strikeout and threw over 90 mph.
