Dignano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 25 km west of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,408 and an area of 27.2 km2.[1]
The municipality of Dignano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Carpacco, Vidulis, and Bonzicco.
Dignano borders the following municipalities: Coseano, Flaibano, Rive d'Arcano, San Daniele del Friuli, San Giorgio della Richinvelda, Spilimbergo.
