The Diocese of Peterborough forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England.
Founded in 1541 (it was until then part of the Diocese of Lincoln), it has parishes in:
- the Soke of Peterborough (the parts of the City of Peterborough, south of the River Nene, formerly in the county of Huntingdonshire come under the Diocese of Ely — however, these parishes have now been placed under the pastoral care of the Bishop of Peterborough, acting as an Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Ely[1]

The diocese is divided into two Archdeaconries:
- the Archdeaconry of Northampton
- the Archdeaconry of Oakham
The Diocese covered what is now the Diocese of Leicester until 1927.
