Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a resort which is located in Walt Disney World at Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It is located in the Epcot area of Walt Disney World and is classified as a moderately priced resort. The resort started operating on October 1, 1988.

The Caribbean Beach Resort is designed with a festive Caribbean theme in mind. Guests stay in one of the many small apartment buildings that encircle Barefoot Bay, a 40-acre lake. Buildings are grouped into one of six unique villages, with shared resources.

Resort facilities are located at Old Port Royale, a building that contains a restaurant (Shutters, American and Caribbean food), a food court, and gift shop.

The shores of the bay feature beaches for lounging and other beach activities. The resort also features various watersports.

Each village has its own swimming pool and some also have their own playgrounds.

When reserving a room, one has the option of water view vs. standard view. Standard view is generally of a courtyard or parking lot, while water view is just like it would seem: a view of the pool or the beach.
