Disney Village

Disney Village is a shopping, dining and entertainment complex in Disneyland Resort Paris, Marne-la-Vallée, France. Originally named Festival Disney, it opened April 12, 1992 with what was then called the Euro Disney Resort and originally covered an area of approximately 18,000 m².
Based on Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney district, it was designed by architect Frank Gehry, who designed it with towers of oxidised silver and bronze-coloured stainless steel under a canopy of lights.[1] It is adjacent to the two theme parks of Disneyland Resort Paris and its Lake Disney hotel area.
It contains a two storey McDonald's restaurant, a Rainforest Café, a Planet Hollywood, a Gaumont/IMAX cinema complex, other restaurants, bars and shops.
A number of the Gehry-designed metallic pillar structures which lined the area's main thoroughfare have been removed in 2005 along with the light canopy suspended amongst them.
In December 2004, a multi-storey parking structure opened, followed by the opening of an IMAX cinema as part of the Gaumont multiplex cinema.
