Disseminating pornography to a minor is the act of showing pornography of any kind to a minor. This is often illegal in countries in which pornography is legal, and perhaps a more severe crime than disseminating pornography to adults, in other countries. The age under which it is illegal may or may not be the same as the age of consent. It is a felony offense in all fifty United States, with 18 being the cutoff age in most states.

In the UK, it is the responsibility of the British Board of Film Classification to classify films and video games. Two certificates are available for pornographic material, as a general rule of thumb, material which shows a simulated sexual act will receive an 18 certificate whilst material which shows a real sexual act will receive a R18 certificate. 18 rated material can be shown at any cinema and sold through any shop, whilst R18 rated material can only be shown at specially licenced cinemas and sold through licenced sex shops.

Under the terms of the Cinematograph Act of 1909 and subsequent acts, it is an offence on the part of the cinema to allow any person under the age of 18 to view material with an 18 or R18 rated certificate and it is also an offence on the part of the customer to attempt to gain admission to an 18 rated feature. In shops and for other retails, it is an offence on the part of the retailer to permit any person under the age of 18 to purchase 18 or R18 rated material, whilst on the part of the customer, it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase 18 or R18 rated material.

Similar provision exists for material rated 12 or 15.
