Bass Electorate

The Electoral division of Bass is one of the 5 electorates in the Tasmanian House of Assembly or lower house. The division shares its name and boundaries with the federal division of Bass. Bass includes the city of Launceston and towns in the states north east including: Scottsdale, Lilydale, St Helens, George Town and others. At each state election; five members are elected to the House of Assembly through preference voting (see single transferable vote).
