Division of Griffith
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Division of Griffith is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. The division was created in 1934, when the old seat of Oxley was abolished, and is named for Sir Samuel Griffith, a Premier of Queensland and principal author of the Australian Constitution. It is located in the inner southern suburbs of Brisbane, including on the current boundaries the suburbs of Bulimba, Coorparoo, Greenslopes and South Brisbane. The seat has always been marginal for both the Australian Labor Party and the Liberal Party. Its current member, Kevin Rudd, is the leader of the Australian Labor Party.
