Dordt College

Dordt College is a private, Christian, liberal arts college located in Sioux Center, Iowa. The school was founded in 1955 by Dutch Calvinists.[citation needed] It is affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRC) and has an enrollment of about 1400 students. The name is a reference to the Synod of Dort.[citation needed]
As of 2005, there were more than forty majors offered at Dordt, as well as an Individual Studies program.

Dordt College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and plays in Region III. Dordt plays in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Football has recently been added and will field a JV team during the 2007 - 2008 school year, and will be a Varsity sport after that, beginning in 2008. Their first football game is against Morningside College in September 2007.
