Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Warriors is the English version of the Japanese Dragon Ball Z: Bukuu Tougeki by Banpresto. Based on the popular anime, Super Sonic Warriors is a fighting game that relies heavily on combos.You can pick one of 13 playable characters to fight one-on-one or three-on-three tagteam battles, or work your way through the game in each character's Story Mode that follows the specific DBZ character's plot.

Allows you to play through 8 Battles as a character and witness a story just for them. Depending on who you play as, you could end up going through the DBZ Story or just seeing a "What if..." scenario. For certain characters, there will be an occasional "Extra Edition" scenario, in which an expansion on the character's story is viewed after an extra fight. (ex:Gohan vs Piccolo in his extra)
Lets you fight against 8 opponents either by yourself or with a team. Beating this mode will only get you a score and a place of rank.
Probably the best way to get Points to unlock characters, this mode pits you against teams of certain characters one at a time. As you defeat each team, new teams are unlocked and the harder the team, the more Points you get. You can't go over the Level 4 limit with your characters.
There's no limits to your Levels.
You can link up and battle a friend via Game Boy Advance Cable.
Lets you change the game's difficulty, unlock new characters or just view rankings of various scores you've gotten in different modes in the game.
There are 13 playable characters each with 3 levels. They are each listed with their name and appearance according to level [ex: Name (Lv1, Lv2, Lv3)]:
- Goku (Normal, SSJ, SSJ2)
- Gohan (Kid SSJ2, Kid SSJ2, Teen w/ Kai training)
- Piccolo (Normal for all three)
- Krillin (Gohan and krillin, tien and krillin, spirt bomb krillin)
- Vegeta (Normal, SSJ, Majin)
- Future Trunks (SSJ, Same for all three)
- Captain Ginyu (Normal, Ginyu and Jeice, The Ginyu Force)
- Frieza (Final form, Mecha form, Final form)
- Android 18 (Normal, #17 and #18 together, #16, #17, #18 together)
- Android 20 / Dr Gero (Normal for all three)
- Cell (Perfect, Perfect, Super Perfect)
- Majin Buu (Fat Buu, Fat Buu, Super Buu)
- Gotenks (SSJ3 for all three, with greater time limits between each)
