Dustin Michael Hermanson (born December 21, 1972 in Springfield, Ohio) is a right-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. On Sunday, April 1st, 2007 Hermanson was released by the Cincinnati Reds after struggling in his attempt to become the team's closing pitcher.

After being selected in the 1st round of the 1994 amateur draft by, and playing for, the San Diego Padres, he bounced around the majors, playing for the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, and San Francisco Giants before coming to the White Sox. In the 2005 season, Hermanson became the White Sox closer, pitching in 19 games without giving up a run.

He was born on the same day as LaTroy Hawkins, who played for the Baltimore Orioles in 2006.

Dustin is currently plagued with chronic back problems.

On October 30, 2006, the White Sox declined a 2007 option for $3.65 million on Hermanson. He received a $500,000 payout. He signed a minor league deal with a spring training invite with the Reds on March 1, 2007. He was then released on April 1, 2007.
