E.J. Henderson (born on August 3, 1980 in Aberdeen, Maryland) is a linebacker who currently plays for the Minnesota Vikings. He attended Aberdeen High School and the University of Maryland, where he played college football for the Terrapins. Henderson was one of the most touted linebackers in the 2003 NFL Draft and was selected in the second round by the Vikings.

Henderson was not expected to start in the 2006 NFL Season, due to mediocre play during his first three years with the Vikings plus the addition of first round draft pick Chad Greenway. However, Henderson adapted very well to new defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin's Cover 2 scheme due to his speed, conditioning, and loss of 10 lbs. After Greenway suffered a season-ending knee injury, Henderson locked in his role at weak-side linebacker.

On Friday, December 15th E.J. Henderson agreed to a 5-year contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings. The deal is said to be over $25 million with $10 million guaranteed.
