Elara Distler

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Elara Distler is an American voice actress.

She is best known for voicing Tikal the Echidna, in the 1999 video game, Sonic Adventure. Distler had voiced Tikal in the 2002 video game, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. But this was only brief voice acting, for the two player mode.

In 2003, Distler did not do Tikal's voice, in the English dub of Sonic X. Because 4Kids Entertainment do not like using other voice actors, from other voice over stuidos. Instead of using Distler's voice, 4Kids Entertainment had used an American voice actress called Bella Hudson. Hudson also does the voice of Maria Robotnik in Sonic X and Shadow the Hedgehog.

In 2005 Sega had replaced all of their Sonic voice actors, for 4Kids Entertainment. Many fans of the game series have been sending Sega letters and e-mails, to bring the other Sonic voice actors back. But Sega has failed to do this.

Although it has been said, that in 2007, Sega will rehire the other voice actors, and sack 4Kids Entertainment. Since the Sonic X television series has finished, and no more episodes have been put in for production. A Season 4 may/may not be in production.
